Often described as the Permian Basin of India, Mumbai High basin remains the heart of the country’s offshore oil industry - combining proven geology, a mature petroleum system and established infrastructure in a basin that has already produced billions of barrels.

For Invenire, this is a commercialisation-led growth platform: three approved developments, approximately 180 million barrels of independently certified 2P reserves, and production potential approaching 40,000 barrels per day.

The hydrocarbons are discovered. The opportunity is to develop them at scale.

The Cauvery Basin is a proven east-coast hydrocarbon province, recognised for its high-quality sweet crude, established petroleum system and significant offshore development potential. Its favourable resource characteristics and proximity to key energy markets make it an important contributor to India’s domestic production landscape.

Block CY-OS-90/1 (PY-3 Field) | Invenire Interest: 49%

PY-3 Field is a cornerstone of Invenire’s upstream portfolio. Its return to production after a 14-year hiatus marked a landmark achievement - the first such revival of an offshore field in India. Supported by a plug and produce FPSO-led development strategy, PY-3 now provides a strong foundation for further drilling, infrastructure expansion and sustained production growth.

The Assam–Arakan Basin is the birthplace of India’s oil industry and remains one of its most important onshore producing regions. More than a century of discoveries and production has created a mature operating ecosystem, supported by established processing, transportation and refining infrastructure across Northeast India.

Kharsang Field | Invenire interest: 25%

Kharsang field is an established producing asset with multiple reservoirs and material gas potential. Its existing onshore infrastructure supports current operations and provides a ready platform for the planned drilling ramp-up.

The South Sumatra Basin is one of Indonesia’s most prolific oil and gas regions, with a production history extending over a century. Its massive resource base, established field infrastructure and continued redevelopment activity have sustained its relevance as a major producing basin.

Block Merangin | Invenire interest: 35%

Merangin is an established onshore producing asset, supported by a long production history, multiple discoveries and several development prospects. Well-established crude processing and monetisation infrastructure provides a direct route to market, while previous drilling has added proved reserves and demonstrated further production potential.

For Invenire, the asset provides a strong international production base with meaningful upside from targeted drilling, field development and production optimisation.

The Satpura Basin is one of central India’s largest coal-bearing regions, with significant volumes of natural gas held within its coal seams. Its scale, onshore setting and ability to support phased development make it a compelling long-term opportunity for expanding India’s domestic gas supply.

Block SP-ONHP(CBM)-2021/1 (Vasudha) | Invenire Interest: 100%

The block spans approximately 1,771 sq. km, making it the largest acreage awarded under the bid round. With 2 Tcf of gas-in-place, the block offers substantial potential for future gas production, provides strategic exposure to India’s growing gas market and forms a key part of Invenire’s low-carbon strategy.
